I needed an alarm clock...

Postby Giantmoa » Fri Sep 03, 2010 11:14 am

so now Rainbow sleeps in my room  I've been meaning to do this for a while cuz a) my parents often stay up late watching TV which is right next to her cage and b) it gives us more of a routine to follow. It worked great last night, after she got used to smaller travel cage. She woke me up at 5:30 am though with her "are you there" chirps. lol... I'm hoping for 6:30-ish tomorrow or I'm going to turn into a zombie

Good blinds seem to help. The birds are across the hall from our bedroom, but we shut the blinds in that room at night and they generally seem to sleep in until they hear us getting up. We're NOT early risers!

Hehe! I don't know how people wake up early enough for their birds! I'm not a morning person at all, but 2 of mine that their screaming/chatting at the first sign of sun. They are LOUD but I've gotten used to them and now sleep right through it.

Maybe you will get used to it too ;) or a sheet may help.

The lady conures and Jake wake up at 6:30ish, Scarlet only wakes up enough to yell at them (like her mama, she is NOT a morning girl). Normally I get up, feed them all then get going for the day. BUT on weekends I'm a zombie and somehow feed them when I'm still half-asleep then go back to bed.

My 18-year old daughter is my early riser...

SHE wakes up the birds...and the rest of us...

She gets up at 5:45...*yawn*

Wait, what? I thought teenagers slept, like 20 hours a day. She must go to bed at noon in order to get all her teeniebobber sleeps

She's her own person...an annoyingly early-morning person (goes to bed at 9 too...unless she's out)...

...my 15-year old son on the other hand...sleeps the 20 hours...him and the cats...
