She's here.............Moustache parakeet

Postby Marnie » Sun Sep 26, 2010 10:14 pm

i took a road trip and brought Skittles home today. was quiet for the whole trip and is now asleep in her "new" cage. it was a very long day, left at 9:45am got back home at 6pm, we stopped for one meal.
after arriving home, i left her in the black travel cage for a couple hours before moving her into her own cage.
she is living in my keets cage that i have been unable to sell on craigslist. i hope to get her a bigger one someday but this will do for now. she came with her cage, but when i saw it, i said no thanks you can keep it. it was a way too small round cage!!!! it looked to be ancient too. yuk!
poor thing had been living in it all of her 2yrs. no wonder she preferred to be out of her cage.
she will be living here in the computer room as Marnie has the kitchen. right now Marnie is behind me on the travel cage as i type. Skittles is asleep a few feet away.
Skittles is a good eater and loves to try new foods. so thats good.
need i say i am excited!!
i will post pics next................
