I keep wanting to wade in but i can only speak intelligently about amazons not conures, i have just recently adopted a pair of quakers and can see some different characteristics that i might apply to conures, i see the light switch thing that you spoke of, and also what i call the Napoleon Complex, small bird projecting larger image/attitude, It certianly sounds as if he's punishing you. Maybe ignoring him went you return will break the spell quicker than you being submissive and apologetic, instead of you crawling back to him with your hat in your hand, make him make the move back to your normal relationship. If he's going to be a little turd , turn your back on him, i'm sure he'd miss your normal relationship quicker when he see's he's strategy isn't getting the desired results. Just my 2 cents worth, Richard
