a fly taught my bird to fly... O.O

I was doing hw with a fly buzzing around the room and twice the fly came too close and startled rainbow. She actually gained altitude, going about 3 feet and making a rather nice midair turn and landing on me again. At first I didn't realize that it was the fly causing her to take off and I thought she was just being a spazz.... Anyhow her flight was a bit labored but she's still missing plenty of primaries. I guess the gcc build is geared for flight, unlike some of the chunkier short-tailed parrots

are you sure she is a GCC and not a chicken! flying from a fly kidding, cute story I thought you were going to say she ate it midair!!
