We just got back from an overnight away (Jimmy Buffet concert for our anniversary!) and I've had the birds out and about. I finally had to put Scotty back in his cage because he insisted on chewing on the plastic connector of his seed guard and was interrupting my Scooter time every five minutes having to move him (yes, his nefarious plan was working...)
So since I put him back in there he's been wandering around muttering, various sorry-for-me sounds mostly ("Awwww....") and the occasional "Hello" , when out of nowhere he came out with an apt phrase I hadn't heard from him before, "I told you so!". Cracked me up bigtime.

Hey, there were plenty of whipper-snappers present and not all came with their parents! Even we had to laugh at the pair of 60-something women in the row behind us with their doobie getting wasted...
