entrancedbymyGCC- Yep, they are very messy, he can fling his wet nectar mix up to one meter and all over the walls XD

zazanomore- Yep, his tongue is feather like, because in the wild they eat pollen and nectar from flowers as their main source of food. I can try and take a picture of it =D

yea their tongue is brush like for getting pollen and nectar out of flowers and yes VERY messy washing there cage is a daily job even twice a day some days

zazanomore- They are fed a specialized powder mix and can be given wet or dry. Honey is actually not supposed to be fed to them in large quantities, I sometimes use honey mixed with water as a treat though. =D

I have to say that Shedon and Jango sure are good advertisements for lories. Makes me want one, but I find a fruit eating GCC plenty mess enough to keep up with.
