A month of tricks

Postby iknowwhatiknow » Mon Oct 25, 2010 1:00 am

I've had Rory for a month as of about 3 days ago. I'm amazed at how quickly he's picked things up.

Here are his five tricks (the last one - wave is just an extra - he picked that up yesterday in all of three minutes. He's awesome! (for the record - he looks all scraggly in the second one on account of he decided that camera time was bath time).

He's a little smaller than my old cockatiel - though I think she was big in cockatiel standings.

He's got the attitude of a much bigger bird though. ;)

Fantastic job.

Don't forget to recede the cue for "eagle" so that you can show it from further away rather than practically forcing it from up close. Otherwise, looks very well done.

Rory is so cute! I think I'm partial to the cinnamons... birds are so addictive!

Yeah - I'm trying to recede the cue for eagle, but since introducing wave, he's finding it hard to differentiate between it and the eagle cue. The wave cue now looks very different from the eagle cue - but still - confusion (or laziness - why lift your wings when the foot is so much easier).

We'll get there again! Thanks!
