Our new Green Cheek Conure's DNA test results just came in and we found out that she is a girl! We've been referring to her as a him for almost a week now. Good thing we hadn't named her yet! No wonder she hasn't like the dinosaurs, boats and planes I bought for making her toys!

We are still having trouble finding a name we both agree on. Some possibilities are Shorty, Cuddles, Fluffy and Sweetie. Hopefully we can make a decision soon!
If I ever get a female bird, I'll be tempted to name her "Amelia". How would you describe her personality? I wish Scooter had a more dignified name, actually, but we called him "Scooter" so long while we were trying to settle on one that he learned it! The pet store had called him "George" which just didn't seem to fit. Not sure that helps much!
If he'd been a girl we'd have considered "Midori". My husband had a tradition of naming birds after alcoholic beverages, but that's now fallen by the wayside.
