my cockatiel becomes obsessed every time he realizes I have a writing utensil out w/an eraser on it. I have to hide it in my lap under the table & distract him w/another toy. But again, as soon as he realizes I have that thing out w/the irresistible eraser at the top, he zeroes in!

Such cute bird photo's! It makes me so happy to see LOVING CARING guardians!!!

I would love a "large" parrot...but I'll only ever rescue as I don't believe in breeding when there are so many birds desperate for homes. Maybe when I am rich. lol

Here is Ollie - gosh...I bought a clicker today and some millet to train her...I started training today, to try and get her to eat from my hand. She won't come out anymore so these are older photo's...she is overweight and I used to get her to "step up" and fly back to her cage but she knows my plot and won't do it anymore! Oh! So I need to start again. haha :budgie: I think she got frightened though, as due to being overweight she sort of can't get lift off and she crash landed once as someone was banging around. tut

Summer (light blue RIP) was trained too...but Ollie taught him bad habits...and I only had Sapphire (dark blue) a few months before he...got...MURDERED. I used to have three cages you see...Ollie, Sapphire and Coco. Hottest day of year. Selfish brother was annoyed by canary singing his lungs off. Covered up canary. Poor Sapphire in the middle got covered too. Practically suffocated to death. I will never recover from this! Why I'm not having anymore rescue animals till I get my own place. The only thing that relieves my trauma (hardly at all) is that I rescued him from my father who never gave him any toys, nice food to eat and he was a budgie who loved company so I took him in so he had a good few months of life. *sigh*

Sorry for long post! Thought I'd give them another introduction with the photo's.

I'm so sorry about Sapphire :(

I had a goldfish when I was younger. I won him at a fair. One day my little sister decided she would flush him down the toilet. I still feel bad about it.

Rory's named after the current Doctor Who companion. When a friend bought me a TARDIS biscuit jar, I had to take some photos.

Rory is a nerd bird.

Or maybe a geek beak.

I love pictures of Rory - nerd, geek or simple fan. He's such a cutie. The cinnamon does something special for him, I think!

Rory says thanks! He looks quite dull in everyday light, but when he's in the sun, or the lights are on - his colour really comes out. It's like butterfly wings!

Poor goldfish. :(

Rory is super cute. I can see him as an extra on DR Who. ;)

Ollie has made progress...every day I've been offering millet on on the fourth day (today) she started eating it from my hand...so cute!! She loves millet so I suppose it was going to work eventually. It is amazing how she went from "quivering wreck" to "mmm millet" in only four days lol
