I'd love to have the opportunity to hand raise a cockatiel...too bad I have little to no knowledge or experience in that department.

zazanomore@, you trust your instincts, ask the breeder or(in my case) store owner to show you how to do it and in what temperature, and in case of more doubts you have this forum and vets!
