Round Steve- he was begging for a head scratch and I stopped right before I took the picture.

We call Steve the flying football. Although, he can't fly just yet. :/ Have to wait a few months.

I love this picture of Steve, and this time I used my Canon camera, 55 mm lens.

I love this Peanut picture too- she was very fluffy and happy when I took it and she's so adorable!

#1 is hilarious :D

Seems to be working well for you because #3 is a great picture :).

Ive started using an old Konica Hexanon AR 40/1.8 for my recent photos (not the flighted photos iirc, but the others). Its 35 years old, all manual focus, but great optics. Fits on my new Nex 5R with an adapter, and is a blast to use :).

Really nice shots, cml! I'd love a 40mm lens, but for now I'm more than happy pretty much constantly using my 50mm 1.8

Just one thing, I'd love the two photos even more if you could see their feet, the composition looks a little bit odd with the lower parts of the parrots cut off when there's still so much air above them. :)

(Oh and as always, I am TOTALLY IN LOVE with Leroy! Can I have him? )

Thanks, and aye, I agree - especially on the second one I think you're right :). The first one I kinda like the way it is though!

Wow, 35 years old. o.o My camera is just a few years old (my mom bought it a while ago).

I only have two lenses, the 55 mm and my 300 mm, which I use much more often (for birds, etc.)

Great picture of Leroy! I wish the three we have would get along... While I let Diva out to stretch her wings (It's super hard to get her out of her cage, she's still untame) she landed on Peanut's mini-playgym and... Peanut went up to her, they touched beaks, then Peanut went for her toes. No injuries, but I had to take up Peanut and Diva flew off, so it could've been worse.

And while I was typing this, Steve and Peanut met again. Peanut is very interested, but Steve is very aggressive towards Peanut. They touched beaks, and nothing really bad happened. Steve went back to me crying (out of fear!)

Image Peanut has a bit of food on her beak.

Image Waving!

Image Peanut hates the camera... she gets all angry and aggressive.
