This one is not a color mutation, but it's a mutant for sure.

Natural selection would not favor this little guy. If I'm right, that's a genetic defect that causes feathers to grow continuously like hair.

I also want to put out is that hybridization could lead to the "extinction" of normal species with us as breeders would hybrid more and breed normal species would go away. We have a limited gene pool here.

Oh yes, the infamous dustfeather mutation. No one really knows how it happened other than it happened. They don't live long because of the feathers and it's hard to do anything with them.
