So Jovie is a he, and I was lied to about who the previous owner got him from. Jovie's name is Pretzel, he is male, and was a parent-raised bird being kept at a bird fair. The lady who took him home from the show was there to get bird supplies and saw Pretzel in a small cage with two wild-caught caiques and couldn't leave him there to his horrible fate. She immediately bought him and took him home, her first-ever bird purchase from a fair. The reason she gave him away to the lady I bought him from was that she (Laura) only bought him to save him (as I did) and wanted to foster him to a good home and thought she had found one.
Which is how I found him on craigslist.

The first person to buy Jovie/Pretzel from that bird fair was named Laura, and she saw my post for help on my local bird rescue's facebook page!!!

She knew the name of the woman I purchased him from, she knew his exact age and what he ate and liked to play with. It was crazy. Fate is so strange. The cage he was in? Yeah that was his TRAVEL CARRIER Laura gave to the lady who said she had a nice cage for him at home.
So Laura is going to come get her baby back, and this time he is staying with her forever. A happy, yet extremely weird story full of coincidences.

I hope this made sense. It has more details and twists and even a part where someone was trying to sell Jovie as a "proven male breeder" even though he is only a year old....yeah. Odd.
YAY FOR LAURA!!!!!!!
