This post is a few weeks old, but I had to comment on Rory's destruction of his fun new Christmas present, which was one of those 'seed treats' which is a bar about 4cm x 4cm x15cm stuck together which what I can assume is mostly honey. It's a one off, because I assumed that once he had one, he'd go off all other food until it was gone.

However, I hung the gift smack in the middle of his cage, dangling at the bottom of a chain, so he'd have to climb precariously down the chain to get to it. I went to my parents house for Christmas day, and when I got home at around midnight, it was gone.

It wasn't just that the seed was gone (though most of it was lying on the floor of the cage unshelled - he'd just been destroying it and eating what he wanted), but the solid plastic core was chewed and torn into four separate pieces. He seems quite please with himself - though - not hungry today.
