Yesterday, my husband found a raven with a broken wing on our fence. Since then, he's been feeding him (not touching, though) and the raven has stayed on the fence.
Today, it's raining outside and the raven is on the fence under a tree right outside our window behind our couch.
I was sitting with Goffie on the couch, and all of a sudden, he jumped up to the back of the couch over by the window and said, "See the birdy?"
My husband and I looked at each other like what?
And Goffie said again, "See the birdy?" and got all excited. He started talking to the raven saying, "Whatcha doin'?"..."Whatcha doin', birdy?" and he started saying "Come on..." (like step up) ..."Come on..." ... "Wanna take a bath?" (lol, the rain)... and then "Pretty birdy."
My husband and I were shocked and we totally wish we caught that on tape. I think my heart grew two sizes. I don't even think I've ever heard him say "Whatcha doin birdy" or "pretty birdy" before.
Was that his way of saying, "Can we keep him?"
Just thought I'd share!
