I would like to introduce Jazz, my new baby Eclectus. I drove 3 hours one way to get him today, near Ottawa. I had a vet appointment tomorrow, but changed it for today so he wouldn't have to go out again in the carrier tomorrow. The appointment went well, he is healthy.
He dozed off a bit in the car, and chatted with me when I talked to him. At the end of the day, he was really tired though, although he still isn't sleeping. He ate some food, which is good. I was scared at first. He tried some of his veggies, but I don't think he is that much used to them. (he is making a racket right now, I closed his cage door, he doesn't like it...)
I think he is going to be a nice pet, I chose the calmest one. I will have to work with him, he likes to bite / nibble hard. (note : I went and talked to him, he came to the side of the cage where I was to be near me, it's a good sign. I tried to calm him down; he's like a kid who was too excited during the day and can't sleep).
By the way, what does everyone use to make their avatar, mine is small because it is too heavy when 150 x 150 ?
