Good idea, I'll do that. Thanks.

An eclectus is definitely one of my dream birds.
I know some are aloof and some are cuddly, does yours enjoy handling?

From everything I've read, Eclectus can be cuddly when they are young, but most adults do not like to be touched much.

When I had mine 3 days ago, he was a little biting machine. It is baby biting / tasting, not lash out biting, but still hurts. So we're working on not doing that, and he has improved 80%. He still tries to taste me, but I move my finger a bit, say " no " softly and he stops.

I can't say he's a really cuddly bird, but I knew that before and I don't mind. I am still teaching him to tolerate my touch on his body, feet and wings, but it is not natural to him. He loves kisses on his head and beak though and never tries to bite my lips (knock on wood...)

What you read is true : he loves being on me or anywhere near me. He will just sit there, listening to what I say, and giving me this intense look, like he's trying to remember everything I say. He answers in a soft voice when I talk to him, or just say " HI " or " Bye ". He is very, very smart, and quiet. I am amazed at what is he.
