Postby Erithacus » Fri Dec 31, 2010 8:15 am

Today is new year eve. Cocoa enjoyed the last day of 2010 at the playground. All pics were taken from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. And Cocoa wishes everyone here "HAPPY NEW YEAR".

What kind of harness is your Grey wearing ? I'd like one for my Electus, I suppose he's about the same weight as your grey (367 grams), and I've heard Aviator Harness are not safe for bigger birds, as there are incidents of some birds escaping them because the strap broke.

I've heard that the aviator harnesses are the best when it comes to harnesses.

Cocoa is using Aviator harness. M size is for 425g to 600g bird. My Grey weighs 450g. Eclectus should wear M size unless yours is exceptionally small size. A big parrot is capable of damaging the harness. So make sure that the harness is in good condition before you take your bird out. And also the harness is subject to wear and tear. Cocoa has damaged 2 harnesses in 1 year. At the moment I am using 3rd and 4th harness. The gray one is for outings and the red one which is attached to a flightline is for flying and playing at the playground.
