capsicum's make a good foraging object :)

ok while at the super market today i was browsing....got my food for the week and what not....then i return to the fruit and vege section because i forgot apples, grapes, mango and carrot for the birds. i passed the capsicum's remebering reading some where that they can be used for foraging. my idea is to get it down to just cutting the top off and having no holes. Jango is a beginner so i cut holes in the side for him to get the food out of. the goal is to have no holes and have him chew is way through the capsicum to the food inside. or having a very little opening to begin with

well lets just say Jango loved this idea

and jango loves his grapes, its his chocolate!

but i have to think of some more ways too. 'bell peppers' are $4 ea atm! so im going to find some more food i can hollow out too. like cucumber. umm what else... mini pumpkins..... feel free to leave some suggestions. this is not a debate topic so you can take it as far off track as you want

even post some of you're own ideas. an idea just hit me of skewering the many raisin boxes i have onto his kebab and filling them... leave some ideas

This is an awesome idea Jessie! A mini pumpkin would be great! Also, maybe some larger jalepeno peppers would work.

How about coring an apple? You could cut a plug off the bottom of the core and "put it back together. It would brown, even if treated with lemon juice, but it would be fun for a while.

This may sound silly, but jalapeno peppers are spicy, wouldn't they hurt their little tongues?

Nah. They don't taste spicy like we do. Lots of parrots love jalepenos and they are cheap! Give it a try! Just don't rub your eyes after you cut them... does not feel good...
