I got her home last night and let her settle in. I didn't try to get her out or do anything at all. I simply let her observe her surroundings and settle in. This AM, I thought maybe I would chat with her and open up her cage. I wasn't going to push her to do anything but she came right out so I offered her my hand. She stepped right up and was talking and singing the entire time. After a few minutes, she began to crane her neck strangely and before I knew what was happening, she was regurgitating on my hand! I wasn't sure whether to be thrilled that she was sharing or to put her back in her cage! I guess I should feel honored that she likes me! I've never had either of my other two parrots do this so I was quite surprised. Maybe a little grossed out too...
I have a question for those a little more knowledeable on bird behavior than me. Should I put her away when she does this or just accept it as her way of telling me whe likes me? She did it again this afternoon as well.
I am going to call her Punkin. It seems to suit her green and orange Halloween colors and sweet personality.
Thanks in advance for any behavioral info.
