Einstein Updates!

Postby zazanomore » Fri Apr 15, 2011 6:19 pm

So, Spring has sprung today. He did the naughty on my hand. At first, I wasn't really paying attention, but then I noticed. I calmly took him back to his cage, and hopefully he gets the hint.

Anyways, besides that, I've started full time working. Me and my Dad have opened up a chip truck, so from 7am - 4pm I've been gone. I haven't really been worrying about Einstein while I've been working. He has more than enough things to do. Plus, he has the constant company of the budgies.

Einstein's behavior has defiantly been a bit different for the past week. I feel like he appreciates me more (if that even makes sense). For the past several months, I've been home full time. This means, 100% attention to my birds.

Now that I come home at 4, they lose the first part of the day with me. So, Einstein has been extremely well behaved. No dropping things, not pooping everywhere, and even more cuddly than before.

He's even starting to become more vocal. Typically, he's shy about singing and talking, and will only do it infront of me. But now, he's been going up to my brother and saying "love you". And he's really perfected how to say "gimme kiss".

I was on the phone with my mom, and he went up to the speaker and started saying "love you" as loud and proud as he could. My mom would say it back, and they did that for about a minute.

He's learning to nod on command, and we do synchronized clicking sounds.

Done my little rant!

Cheney Bird has been doing the same thing to my hand and I am sooo not amused. I put him back in the cage or shoo him away and he doesn't get the hint!

He's a man now :) lol. I forgot if they do this every spring now or if its just until they fully mature...
I'm happy he appreciates you more :) I think they learn what they have when they don't have it all the time anymore. Lorenzo doesnt hump my hand, hes after my boyfriends foot more then anything or anyones neck/shoulder haha

Ha ha - Stryder's never done the Nasty on my hand - he has his perches for that!

Glad Einstein seems to be adapting to your new schedule nonetheless!

Mmmm, chip stands!
