As for pictures, I should be getting a few, I guess when they are slightly older.

Still no news on whether Egg #1 has hatched.

Get a paper bag and breath in and out of it. Relax! You still have at least 3-4 months to go even if it does all work out. I had to wait like 6-9 months between when I decided on getting a Cape and actually got it home! So impatient for someone who has 6 parrots

I can't it's all rather exiting.
I have resisted actually writing to the breeder and inquire figuring he'll let me know in due time.

And...this has been several years in the making

I'd be so impatient that I'd be writing to the breeder to find out. I'm not very good at waiting for things. I don't see how you do it! How do you think the other six will react to a new flock member?

So far, each time I've added a new bird they weren't too bad and in the end, everything worked out well.

I've bird sat my mom's two Pois for weeks at a time in the past and while my guys were great with accepting them, the two hated each other and were rather exclusive so that clashed a bit with mine and i had to be extra careful.

But it was nice to see my guys weren't the "problem" :)

They are apparently sweeter than the males, even when hormones start kicking around :)

Baby #1 hatched earlier this morning! Will have to wait to do good old blood DNA test for sexing as the shell wasn't around when the breeder looked this morning (my assumption is that maybe the mom ate it for extra nutriments - I did ask the breeder what might have happened to it).
