Egg shells have been sent out for DNA testing last Thursday. Since this upcoming Monday (aka tomorrow) is a stat Holiday here in Canada, that will probably delay things a bit.

Canada Post is threatening to go on strike as well and I just hope the shells make it to where they need to be before this happens.

Natacha - I just spoke with my CP lady (she works at the CP in a Hallmark, so she wouldn't be striking, as they also do money orders and other than CP stuff at her outlet), and she says it's unlikely that a strike will occur due to the majority government now.

If they do strike, they may be forced to become private. They'd be liking that $17 starting hourly salary vs what they'd earn being privatized.

The pension payout (1 week salary for each year worked when they retire or leave) is another worry for the workers, as it would set precedence for the rest of the government workers if it is ixnayed.

So it's good and bad - I can see both sides.

They should at least wait to strike until your egg shells have gotten to the lab ;)

That precedence has already been set.
The group that I'm represented by has had that applied to the latest collective agreement. I haven't officially worked in the government to get anything, if I do, it'll only be a week or pay out.

So strike or not, the eggs got there safely.

And have been processed.

............

Babies #1 & 2 are females!!! :hatched:

The breeder asked me if I had a preference right away and I said #2. Still trying to see with him if I'll be able to visit before he separates them and sends the other two to the pet store.

The whole missing egg shell for #1..
Baby #1 was hatched May 12. Baby #2 May 14..it won't be much more of a wait.
Plus, I'm weird in a way that I like even numbers more than odd numbers... ;)
