OMG now I fell in love with them too!! they are just so beautiful, dont see them very often here in denmark :rainbow:

i found this video through a trademe listing, buddy in the video is actually free to good/ approved home, if i didn't already have a rainbow lorikeet i would be picking him up tomorrow :( lorikeets range about $200 in new zealand the peopel who own him have an unexpected baby arriving soon and feel he should go to someone who will ahve full attention for him. i think its very responsible of them to make that decision and aren't trying to make any money off him again :)

how are they to look after...i have heard they are messy (pooping)...is this true?...i sure would like to have one myself they are beautiful birds

Sorry to be crude, but I want to see a video of a lorikeet pooping :lol: . I've heard so much about it, I want to see just how 'projectile' it can be :shock: .

hard to compare it to anything really lol. ummm my lorikeet is generally pretty good with pooping inside his cage its his food hes terrible with.

They absolutely love water.We have a large bowl with about 2 inches of water and ours baths twice per day even lately with very low temps.
