Congrats. Story behind the name?

I think she's already starting to look like one - she's got the cape smile and everyone to whom I've shown the picture who hasn't seen a Cape before has commented on how big a head she's gone ;)

The name. Nerdy story.

I was set on Penelope for the longest time, Penny for short. I actually nearly named Pixel that way but Pixel/Pixie seem to suit her more. So I still had Penelope in my back pocket to use on my Cape.

Then I knew about the eggs. I'm not sure if I asked my boyfriend before or after they hatched what he would have as a suggestion for a name. Being the nerd he is and a huge Star Wars fans, he said Leia. And then it hit me that Léa (pronounced slightly differently) was a nice soft name. And then the battle between Léa and Penelope started and more I thought of my future Cape baby, the more I associated her with the name Léa.

So that's how it came to be.

My boyfriend also said that if she turned out ot be a boy, we could name her Luke. I refuse. I have a backp-up name for a male if ever that was the case...

She is, but it's not 100% guaranteed.

She's so adorably ugly-cute! Congratulations! And I like the name, even if it is "nerdy".
