hes so cute! i have a pair of tuis that sit outside my window and like to wake me up at 5am..every morning...

but the voices are just amazing

I forget sometimes that parrots aren't the only birds with the capacity to mimic the human voice.

That's great! It's funny hearing his Aussie accent. : ) What family of birds are Tuis in? Are they like crows? I'm sorry, I've never heard of them before!

Are you sure that's not a kiwi accent? (Kiwi is what you call a New Zealand accent, right?)

sure is a new zealand accent =p

they are part of the honeyeater family they are nectar feeders, this is what wiki has to say about them

Oh crap, my bad!!! :oops: I work with a New Zealander and she's always very vocal at correcting people when they inevitably mistake her accent for an Australian one!

I had a teacher, and he was talking about the time he lived in Australia. He kept on saying how much New Zealanders HATE being confused with Australians.

But yeah, my coworker is adamant about the distinctions between NZ and AUZ.
