"Momma comeere"

Postby liz » Tue Jun 28, 2011 8:04 am

Myrtle finally did it. She called me Momma instead of Ma. She said comeere instead of just flapping her wings and squaking.

She is trying to tell me other things but I am not yet catching the words.

AWWW!

Einstein tells me I'm a good boy...oh well, it's still impressive for a cockatiel!

Yes it is.

Shadow can say "pretty bird" and "watcha doin". That is all. When I was trying to pick him up out of the cage one day, to my surprise he said "watcha doin to the pretty bird".

He doesn't know too many things but he knows what he knows if you know what I mean.

Without looking up his birthdate (2 years when I got him) he is probably 10 or 11.

I think Aaron says "watcha doin" but I can't be sure - could just be my imagination. He has started meowing like the cats though. :D

It isn't your imagination. Cockatiels have such tiny little voices that you have to listen real close.
They are probably saying a lot more than we are picking up on.

Why tiny little voices? When they sing they echo through the whole house.

Okay - while I was sitting here - Myrtle leaned around the door and said "peekieboo". She doesn't say it when I play with her.
