You have beautiful babies. The cockatiel looks like the one singing to me right now.

I got a baby chick 24 hours old. She was the only one I had. :pied: Lemone', a male cockatiel befriended her.

I had Chick for 5 years. When I became overwhelmed I rehomed her to a lady who called her 4 hens "her girls". I still miss her even though I know she is happy where she is. The woman treats them all as pets.

Thank you! I'm sure she is very happy! Anyone who calls their birds their girls is probably taking great care of them!

Yes. I screan carefully. She closes them in the coup at night and tells them goodnight. She lets them out in the morning calling each one by name. When she is going to be home all day she lets them out of the pen to run the farm area. They, including Chick, come to her when she calls.

Wow! You really feed your birds a lot of healthy nutritional foods! I try to feed Ladu a variety of foods as well. He's trying cooked quineoa for the first time today so fingers crossed. I saw it in one of your pics and I bought it to see if he will like it or not. is cooked quineoa popular with your cockatiels?

It's kind of like a sprout. It is high in protein so it's good for birds. I had never heard of it before but when I saw hungry birds pics of it, I thought I'd buy some to see if my tiel would like it.

It's actually spelled, 'quinoa' and you can cook it like rice or sprout it. I grind a cup and turn it into quinoa flour, which I use for baking birdie bread. :)

They love quinoa actually! They took to it immediately. I think the fact that it looks so much like millet doesn't hurt! I love it because it is super healthy and cooks quickly. Here is the link to the brand I usually buy. It's pretty easy to find. If you can't find that but find another organic one I'm sure that will be fine as well.
