I've actually brought Nikko and Dante to work with me on two occasions. My company has an annual "Bring Your Kids to Work Day" and our HR director asked me to bring them in. Dante was very well behaved. Nikko tended to be a little nervous and scream out contact calls whenever I left my desk. It was a little much for an office! :)

I'm sorry, I haven't had time to post. I'd come in not too long ago and saw all the nice replies, and had so much to reply and share back, that I wanted to wait until I had time to do it. But I'm either having to work, review music for church, do house chores, run errands, or spend interaction time with my parrot. After all that's done, all the time has been taken up, so I don't have much time to post in here! much less read! lol ..... I will as soon as I can.... promise

Love you all ....

I do sometimes, but mostly I don't. Too busy to think about anything else.

Naurthon !! That is such a cute picture of your bird in your office. A lady here at our office also suggested recently that we should have a "bring your pets to work day". lol. How in the world did you deal with the birds poo-poo'ing all over the place all day, while you were trying to work - lol - . . . My bird would scream out contact calls too lol

I brought in a smaller travel cage for Dante to stay in most of the time while I was working, so he didn't get much chance to make a mess, and he was pretty content to sit there and watch me all day. Of course, within 20 seconds of when I first let him run around on my desk he had already pulled one of the keys off of my keyboard, so he managed a bit of mischief when he got the chance.

Definitely. Going to school I can't get my mind off them. Then when I get home, if they're hungry, they'd be up on the side of the cage chirping for food (also known as training.).
They're not your whole life, but they make your life whole.

I really do miss my grey when im at work. Infact I have to stop myself from telling parrot stories to people because I know they wont find it as interesting as me, and I dont want to bore anyone to death.

But yes I miss him like crazy!

YES!!!

Rambo runs with the dogs to meet me at the door or calls me from wherever he is if he can't get to me fast enough. (Rambo is a pedestrian) Myrtle has a little monkey in her. She almost makes a fool of herself acting up to get me to her. She does not like to leave her home area. They say when I am gone for a few days she flies around the house and looks for me.

I am addicted to them.

Liz, every time you post about Rambo, Myrtle and the dogs I get a little smile on my face thinking of a parrot running along the floor to greet you at the door with the dogs.
That is so adorable!

As for me, I'm a university student and don't work (yet, lol) but I do miss my little guy while I'm in class.
I'm home a lot of the time but I always get excited to go home and let my little birdy out to play.
Although, I have to admit that sometimes when I let him out I regret that I had!
I let my bird out even if I come home for an hour between classes and sometimes it's a real pain getting him to co-operate and go back into his cage.
I've been late to class a couple times because of his stubborness!
It's my fault, I know, I shouldn't be letting him out when I know I have to put him back in a short time later, but I just love letting him out to play.

That's actually really great that your workplace allows you to bring them in!
And I can't help but say how sweet it is that you have pictures of your birdies in your office.
I carry a picture of my budgie in the back of my cellphone case. I've got one of those clear, jelly-like cases, so I can see my birdy through the back of it. That way he's with me all the time :D
