Does Anyone Actually Miss Their Bird When They're Working?

I don't really miss my birds when I'm at school, but I do miss them when I'm somewhere I know they'd enjoy. Mind you, I missed them terribly when I was in the hospital. I made sure all of the nurses and patients in the unit knew I had two birds!

My family and I took a trip to Golden BC for a bike race. I would've only brought their round travel cage as we were only gone for a few days. We were outside most of the day and I'm certain that Yoshi would've loved playing in the fields and Cocoa would've loved to perch on my shoulder as we did the course walk. I'm sure they would've had an amazing time so I missed them very much.

Jay is my baby girl and like any mama hen (the vet just sighs and smiles at this point when I come in with my list of concerns---I could do her job at this point if not for the license ) I think about her all the time.
I worry about her and miss her like its going out of style.
I know how smart she is and how much she would love being able to be out and about and wish dearly that I could have her with me wherever I go because its comforting for me and enriching for her. As a rescue bird I like seeing her open up to and experience new things.

I think if only more places were parrot friendly that Jacko wouldn't even need a cage I'd take her to class, resturants, shopping...
As it is if we're headed out for ice cream or to the corner store or...I saddle her up in her harness and we go. She loves being outside and in the car.

I would love mine at work with me [I worry about her ].My boss would let me to .But I work around to many chemicals cant take the chance.

The best part of the day is coming home to Chico. I like to sneak in through the garage to the dining room where his cage sits. He normally would be perching behind the blanket that is covering half his cage. As soon as I call to him he eagerly comes scampering down to his door. I call him my big boy or big green caterpillar. For the rest of the evening until I put him in his sleeping cage we are inseparable.

Yes I think of him at work from time to time.
