Happy First Molt!

Papaya is about 6 months old now and she is molting! She looks so cute with pin feathers everywhere. She has already had a big tail feather fall out and she is losing her feathers on her head and back. I am looking forward to having her flighted (she came to me clipped) which will be a learning experience for both of us. This has been an excellent bonding time due to all those little itchy pin feathers that are all over her head just waiting to be scratched!
