The Indain Ring Neck we had was named Doman, it came from someone called Matt (whos been in Doctor Who), sadly after 3 weeks of having him, he died, he was 5 months old.

Peaches, well I am not sure where she got her name from, as Doris (her owner) named her, but it looks like, we are going to be keeping her, as Doris might be going into a home, and she cant take Peaches.

My budgies called Bella and Roy ♥

I have been thinking about the names before I even got the parrots :D
But when we were taking them home in the care, for the girl came directly, she was so pretty, bellissima was "ringing" in my head in italian :hatched: so I made it short and called her Bella.
(Also it had an impact from the city called Lalibela in Ethiopia. I`ve been there, ant it has a special place in my heart, so it was all in one).

For the boy we had few names, in the beginning I was calling him Rio, but somehow Roy sounded better for him, so I let it.
Now I am happy with the choices.

Iggy and Ollie I named because... well, they looked like an Iggy and Ollie. Ollie's original name was Opal, but it didn't sound right to me, so I changed it.

My Cockatiels name is Ladu. I come from a pakistani family, so I named Ladu after a Pakistani/Indian sweet called Laddoo (I decided to spell it differently though lol), I called him Ladu because he is very sweet and loving towards my family

If you've ever seen the Stitch movie, it fits right in with our little guy, even though we named him that before we got him.

He can be both supersweet, have an abundance of energy and loves to tear his toys appart. He also growls from time to time ^^.

For Perry, I wanted to name him Alex, and my little sister wanted to name him Hubble. So one day as we were leaving the Y, I suddenly thought of the name 'Perry'- like 'Perry the Parakeet.' I had been gathering suggestions from my friends, too, so now his name is Perry Duke Hubble Alex Supernovo Neptune Storm Cloud Skie Astraeus Midnight Hoots Bob Joe the XV.

well my first pet bird was a budgie and i was 10 yrs old when i got him, and i have always been into 'different' names so just out of the blue on the way home i named him george. he was deformed and could't fly and later died.

my secind bird was another budgie and i named him henry because i had heard it a few times but never regularly and i just thought u would never picture a bird as 'Henry' :)

the 3rd bird i got is my mum and she was named lucky by my cousin who we got her off because, the person she got her off had pythons and was breeding birds, well the babies got out and her brother was eaten sadly :'( but before the snake had killed her she was saved thus, the name lucky

my 4th bird is a blue IRN and i was on yahoo asking a few questions and mentioned i needed a name, i got quite a few ideas but the one that appealed to me was Tiko which means little blue.
Tiko - :irn: except blue :) 7 weeks

Lucky - scaly breasted lorikeet :) bout 2 years ish

I've tended to name my pets after characters of favorite TV shows. I've had dogs named Worf and Angel, and (briefly) a lovebird named Xander. I used to have a python named Shadow, and also had a rat named Berkeley. (Berkeley was originally supposed to be dinner for Shadow, but on the way home from the store when I got him I heard a voice in my head saying, "My name is Berkeley. Please don't feed me to your snake," so he ended up as a pet.)

As for my birds, Nikko's name was inspired by an ex of mine. Maxwell was named for the Scottish clan from which I'm descended. Dante's name was a choice between either Dante or Cosimo, both Italian names, because when I got him he seemed to smell like pepperoni.

Maxwell, Senegal Parrot :senegal: (hatched 2004?)

I was watching the Lion King, and I got my bird the day after, and he seemed quite big for a 1 year old cockatiel and always looked strong so I called him Simba :D

I came up with Dusty because

(Full name: Lord Dustin Hoffman Zoolander aka Dusty the Grey)

1) it was the only thing my family would agree on
2) it works for both male and female
3) I like Dustin Hoffman
4) he looks like a lord (haha)
5) someone suggested that the movie zoolander should be immortalized

easy :-)
