I haven't got my Congo African Grey yet but I think I've decided on a name. I've chosen the name Kismet. I think it's very cute & catchy as well as simple, and short. My husband and I went home for Christmas break in Ohio and one night we were playing Yahtzee with his family. He has a large family, him being 1 of 8 children. Instead of saying Yahtzee when all the dice are the same # his brother started saying kismet. It stuck. By the end of the night we were all saying kismet. Apparently my husband's mom use to play Kismet when she was little. It's a real board game similar to Yahtzee. It also just so happens to be the Turkish word for fate. It must be meant to be! ;)

I'm unoriginal when it comes to naming pets. I named my first Budgie Wheatley after the character from the game Portal 2, I love that game and Wheatley was a great character. Plus the name suits my Budgie now.
My second Budgie was a tad more difficult for me to name, but my boyfriend helped me in a way. My second Budgie is a Grey Factor and my boyfriend told me to call him Grey, but I thought that was a little silly, then a name popped into my head. And I named him Dorian :P

Firstly, for some reason I LOVE the name Wheatley. I think it's so cute for a budgie, I don't know why, but it just seems right even to me.
Is Wheatley an English budgie? It seems like an English budgie name, haha!

And Dorian, like the picture of Dorian Grey, yes?

I named my budgie Tamago, which means egg in Japanese.
I didn't know what to name him, but Tamago just seemed to fit because he came to me a little baby only five weeks out of the egg.
I call him Chibi nowadays more than I call him Tamago, though, because he's my little one (Chibi means little one in japanese). So really he's Chibi Tamago.
Plus he really likes chirping back everytime I call him Chibi, maybe because it sounds like I'm chirping at him, lol.

Yeah Wheatley is an English Budgie, and I think he's starting to recognise his name now too. He looks at me when I say it ^^ And yeah I named Dorian after Dorian Grey x3 The more I say it to him the more it suits the lil guy.
And Chibi Tamago is a cute name ^^ Little egg x3

Thanks!
I think Tamago recognizes "Chibi" more than he recognizes "Tamago".
He chirps and flaps his wings whenever he hears me say Chibi.
