I went back to the pet shop, and when I saw the conditions had not improved I spoke to the owner about giving me the birds. At first he said no, but when I told him I was going to get the SPCA involved her let them go. I'm picking them up tomorrow and we are driving straight to the vets (3 hour ride). Then they are staying with me until I can bring them to the parrot sanctuary in my state (a 7 hour ride).
They are not hand tame, but they look so sweet and scared. I hope nothing is seriously wrong with them when I bring them to the vets. Probably just some malnutrition I'm guessing.
I'll post pictures and another update as soon as they are settled in!
Any tips on how to switch them from an all seed diet to a pelleted one?
