That baby's tail is so bright it looks like someone put nail polish on it.

Yes! I've decided on a Black Headed Caique! Long story short, I've been visiting a bird store for about 3 months while I had a deposit on the baby CAG to get some experience with Greys and to become less intimidated by larger birds. I'm fine handling the smaller birds such as Lorikeets, Caiques, Cockatiels, ect. I know larger birds can really do some damage with their beaks lol! While I was visiting the bird store, I started to get second thoughts that I should start out with a smaller bird because I had no problems handling them or their bites so I made a new thread called "Second Thoughts?" where I asked if I should move my deposit over to a baby Red Bellied parrot because my breeder had some available at the time. I decided to stick with the Grey. I continued visiting the bird store literally every weekend and I always visited the Black Headed Caique there but two Saturdays ago I really fell in love with it. I think it finally warmed up to me because I've been visiting so often. My breeder had sold all of her Red Bellies but did have some White Bellied Caiques available and I was going to move my deposit over to a White Belly, but after visiting the Black Headed Caique at the bird store for 3 months I feel like I know it's personality well so I know exactly what i'm getting myself into where as with a baby, every bird is differernt so I have no idea what kind of personality it would grow up having. It wasn't really the personality that sold me, I want a smaller parrot that I'm not intimidated by. I think that if I do decide to get another parrot in the future, maybe then I can get a larger one.

Good luck with the new one then =)!

Although I think that a smaller bird isnt easier to handle than a bigger one. Stitch really is a big amazon full of attitude sometimes, packed in a tiny package (about the size of a BHC) ^^.
