Oh another thing Joe likes to do is mutter to herself just as she is getting ready to go to sleep or while she is sleeping. It's rather cute lol seeing her mutter in her sleep or hearing it lol.

I did read Michael's step-up training guide. Only problem I had with it was that he suggested the use of a hand held perch for biters, but that freaks Percy out for some reason and I guess I got a bit frustrated

Percy often does what I call squeaky toy sounds when he is stretching or when he is tired :D So cute.

lol well I hope this new method your trying works out. The squeaky toy sounds would be cute to hear lol. Joe just mutters hello, cutie bird, mom, then she whistles, beeps, and clicks her tounge all while having her head under her wing so it comes out all mumbled lol.

lol seems like she does. I do have a question on a diet I've been considering for Joe. Right now she eats a mix of pellets and fresh fruits with a bit of seeds as treats. I was considering perhaps mixing seeds and pellets in her food dish, using fresh fruit and adding fresh veggies into some foraging toys with perhaps chili peppers as a treat. Does this sound like a good idea or bad? Any advice and opinions would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Whether its a good idea to put f&v into foraging toys would depend on the toy, some of them aren't the easiest to clean. It would also depend on your bird, mine wont forage for f&v but will for seed and pellets.

I had gotten her a foraging wheel in which i placed grapes and small bits of apples. She did enjoy that but I haven't yet given her any vegetables. I was also considering tying some to the side of the cage like I'd seen others suggest here. I did try her on yogurt a few days ago but she didn't seem to like that at all lol. Another thing I was considering trying her on was millet and mash I've seen others discuss here. I figured a bit of everything would be a better diet then just pellets and fruit.

Well Joe laughs now as well as says i love you. She just started doing this tonight. Her laugh sounds a bit like a chuckle sometimes and othertimes it sounds like a monkey.

That's really cool :D

As far as the foraging. I have a foraging bag in Percy's cage but he doesn't really get interested in it unless he is hungry and there isn't anything else that is more easily accessible.

In regards to fruit and veggies, i hang them in his cage using a string. In the beginning I used to tie them to the side of the cage so they don't move for him. Then when he got confident with it, I started hanging them from the top of the cage making it more difficult as he has to grab hold of it tightly either with his beak or with his foot depending on the height. This keeps him entertained for quite a while

As far as Percy goes he rarely plays with anything unless it somehow leads to food. So I end up tying food to his toys to entice him to play with them, hoping he starts to enjoy it and it sticks. I just bought him another bunch of stuff a couple of days ago online. Some new perches and new foraging toys. Looking forward to them :D

lol for some reason that brings to mind the phrase.... "The way to a mans heart is through his stomache." Maybe thats the case with your percy? lol My hubby and I had watched one of michaels videos with truman and towel training and the first thing my hubby said when it started was... "Please don't tell me he wears that tux shirt the entire time...." I was like wtf... were sitting here watching a training video and the first thing you notice is the trainers clothes? lol.
