I love you, even though sometimes I think your plotting

Postby Ashleighdale » Mon Apr 02, 2012 2:02 pm

My boys are very, very funny. They fight over the mirror in their cage, they fight over the same swing(they have TWO)and they fight over the food bowl.(their parakeets and the food bowl is big enough for a macaw, plenty of room guys) But the funniest thing they do is plot. They don't speak English, but naturally of course they are quite proficient in 'keetish" and they will sit in a corner together, look at me, and plot in their bird language. Or sometimes I'll walk into the room and all chattering will cease. Sometimes while I sit and read, ill glance over to them, and they are just sitting and watching. No sound, no movement. Just watching. Somehow I have ended up with a two 'keet mafia. :budgie2: :budgie2:

Rambo & Myrtle fuss and fight (not really) all the time, but they also preen each other. Rambo can't get to Myrtle when she is up high, but if Rambo is trying to get into trouble but can't pull it off alone, she flies to him and helps.

They work together just like two kids against what Mom told them.

That's a cute story!
I've only got one budgie, so he doesn't plot with a buddy the way yours do. But he is sneaky!
Recently, I've noticed that he talks to a little green plastic bead that's on the ladder I built him. It's shaped like a turtle and sometime I'll catch my budgie leaning over to "whisper" to the turtle. It's funny because my budgie recently started talking in English a couple weeks ago, so he'll talk to the turtle, make kissing noises, asking " what are you doing?" and telling the turtle he loves it. When my budgie sees me peeking he'll suddenly straighten up, turn his back on the turtle and start chirping normally, as if I didn't already know that he could speak.
I think he and the turtle bead have plans to elope.

That's too sweet! Sounds like you have a very smart bird on your hands! Mine have recently decided that lights out means start screaming loudly. Don't really know how we're going to get thru this new stage!

Haha youre right!

Sometimes when Dusty is doing his fake-bending-over-looking-cute-but-actually-ready-to-bite
thing, I think he has a russian accent and is saying "come closer, thats it come closer so i can bite your finger off!"

Thats great! I've never imagined Jack and Charlie with accents before! Actually that's a lie ........I've imagined them with an Australian accent saying " Foster's, its Australian for beer " Even though they have quite certainly NEVER been to Australia. :)
