A quick parrot story :)

Postby Mangoismybird » Mon Apr 09, 2012 4:30 pm

Today I was talking with an African Grey owner :gray:, and she told me a cute little story and I'd thought I'd share it with you!

Her bird is scared of thunderstorms, so every time one is going on she covers the bird's cage (its at night) and speaks to her softly telling her "It's okay. You're gonna be fine." Anyways, a couple of days ago she got home from work and saw her parrot huddled in the top corner of the cage speaking to herself saying "It's okay, you're gonna be fine." over and over. The gray seemed to be looking at the bottom of the cage, and sure enough when the owner walked over there was a mouse at the bottom of the cage!

Anyways, that's it. Happy easter and passover everyone!

Aww that's quite sweet, the Grey has learnt to comfort herself when she's scared. Very sweet story ^^

Very nice story. Grays are really smart, and every day you just keep geting proof of it. (Not to undermine other parrots, just a compliment to Gray's around the world  )
