I live in Colombia, so I was 100% sure that he was a nest-wild caught. These parrots are native to a range of height of about 500-1000 feet, and tropical temperatures no lower than 60-70 degrees Farenheit. But I live in the capital, Bogota, at more than 7500 feet, and we are in the rainy season, meaning that temperatures don't go over 40 degrees farenheit. He shivered in his cage, I bought several blankets, but to no avail. I took him to the vet, and told me he was in a very delicate state, that any little drop of temperature could kill him. I took lots of care of him making sure that he would be warm. But I left the window open for a bit to much in the night, and the next morning when I woke up to take him out of the cage, he was dead.
But I do wan't another bird, I really do. I think I might go for a lovebird, or a cockatiel.
