The woman across the street has a young half-breed Serval, which is about 20 pounds, and will grow to 30. In case you don't know, the Serval is an African wild cat that is being cross bred with domestics in the US. Bongo is like half dog, riding on the dash of the car, etc. She always keeps him on a leash in the yard, but he got away this morning.
I've always built cat doors into our outside doors for our cats, now just two old ones. This morning, Bongo came in the cat door, and upstairs to our office/birdroom and bedroom. One cat split, while the other was just hanging out with Bongo, when my wife walked in. Bongo sauntered back downstairs and out.
Chewbaca, the RB2, was seven feet up a perch, and still easy prey for Bongo, while Graybeard, the CAG, was in our bathroom, on top of the shower stall. Bongo didn't seem to pay much attention to Chewbaca, but who knows...
Guess I gotta' buy a troublesome commercial cat door with magnetic sensors so only a cat with a magnet on its neck can come in. PITA.
