Aww, that's wonderful! Has she had her first molt yet? It seems like she lost a lot of the orange on her head.

How would you describe her attitude and compared to the other birds? Would you say she's more bold/independent than the other Pois? How do they all get along now?

When are you gonna have a new avatar with ALL your pois?

Oh she's had a molt - she's definitively in her adult colours, although I'm sure the amount of orange/coral will grow on her head, wings and ankles.

She actually lost all the baby orange on her head and was completely grey for a few weeks before it started to grow again.

She's still very much a baby so it's hard to compare to my other full grown Pois - she's most definitively hyperactive.

She still has her own time out of cage, separate from the others. Too concerned over beak force differences.

I noticed that! I was gonna ask if she turned out a he cause I wasn't sure. That was weird.

You're afraid of the others ganging up on her? :senegal:

Oh for a while I was concerned she'd turn out to be a male....I was happy when those coral feathers came back!

The difference between her (roughly 310g) and Piper (roughly 57g) is just too much; and Piper is used to coming out with the others and that goes fairly well so I don't want to swap him for alone time and have Léa with the others for what would be unpredictable time out of cage time. Plus, Léa is still quite the handful (so much energy) that it's best that I only have her to watch when she's out.
