An Update!

Postby Eurycerus » Mon Jul 30, 2012 9:08 pm

Hello all!

My little girl and I are doing great. She is learning tricks well and has not bitten me since the first week. Okay well she bit me when she got frightened but didn't draw blood because she knew I wasn't to blame. She allows me to touch her on her back with no problems at all. I believe that she trusts me quite a bit and is pretty tame just requires handling and socializing and clear instructions.

She is exhibiting less hormonal behavior but still does it just intermittently.

However!!! She bit my boyfriend in the face and my mother on the hand HARD! My boyfriend's bite was my fault (I was pretty stupid, considering she was acting hormonal I shouldn't've allowed her even within range!!) I also think my mom wasn't clear with directions resulting in a bite. The sad thing is my boyfriend and mom now won't get close (and my boyfriend hates her... though I understand I think he should man up and try again). If anyone has suggestions let me know. I want to socialize her and she's pretty sweet but she seems to test people by biting them really hard when she meets them a second time.

I just wanted to give an update. :]
