Attacked

Postby marie83 » Tue Aug 21, 2012 5:04 am

Ok this wasn't on purpose as Harlie is really really bad at flying. She's just flown from the playtree to try to land on my head but didn't quite judge it right, slipped down my forehead and scratched my face and the rim of my eyelid. Thankfully she didn't actually get my eye itself but omg it stings........

On the other hand I'm just glad she is still coming to me. We are on day 5 of the Flagyl and I expected that having to catch her to administer it everyday would trash all the taming work I have done with her.

That wasn't an attack it was a miscalculation.

An attack is like when Myrtle saw me coming down the hall and she flew right at my face. She kept her feet back so she would not scratch me but slapped me with both wings then flew over my head laughing. That was premeditated. She also flys over people and stapps them with one wing as she goes by.

It was a joke Liz, I even explained in the message. 'scuse my british humour lol.

Harlie is eating better now, still not as much as before though. I'm not sure if thats due to the meds or not, it was her last day on them today so we shall see. They are both back at the vets later this week.

Ouch I've always been a bit concerned about eye damage whether accidental our on purpose.... :/

Liz it amuses me to think of a parrot swooping and smacking people with their wings.

She does it to everyone. It is to the point that a man from the VA came to interview me so I had to hang a curtain between the kitchen and livingroom. I did not want to have to explane that it is to say she likes you.
