Nicknames for my Congo African Grey Parrot, Aziza:

I have a bunch of nicknames that I periodically use for my almost 3-year-old Congo African Grey Parrot, Aziza (she's a girl, btw.), which are as follows:

Does anyone else have nicknames for their pet parrot(s) that they'd like to share? A curious, inquiring mind wants to know.

Ollie is mainy Ol-bol, I have no idea how that came about, I think my boyfriend or friend said it once and it stuck.

Harlies is alot nicer- Harlie girl, Its almost like I'm reinforcing the fact shes female in my mind.
Based on my old school 'tiel books with basic info and how to sex 'tiels I thought she was a male for years. I had no idea about the genetics and just assumed she was male because she had no other female traits. Actually I did have one book which covered genetics so it may have been in there but I wasn't interested in breeding and skipped that chapter.

I like the nickname that you picked out for your bird, also. It's cool!

I also might add that I had Aziza DNA-tested in order to determine her gender. A person on the pet store staff took a small sample of blood from Aziza's toenail, and sent it off to a special laboratory out in San Diego, CA. Roughly a week and a half later, one of the women on the Pet Store staff emailed me with the info; Aziza was a girl, hence the name Aziza, with all the nicknames that I periodically call her.
