Just saying Hello from NY

Postby vany22 » Thu Mar 14, 2013 9:46 pm

Hello everyone my name is Lisa I have a Green cheek crossed with a Dusky conure his name is Remi. His mom was GCC and dad a Dusky. I have had him for 8 months got him as a baby. He is very sweet but realy timid. He seems to be scared of everything even his toys. He has bonded very well with me and allows others to give him rubs on the head. He was clipped when i got him but i have not clipped his wings again I am thinking I would like him to fly around sometimes after all he is a bird. I love my Remie and for me that is huge as he was a gift from my oldest on my birthday last summer, the big deal is that I had lost my beloved Love bird peaches who realy was not so loving but I adored her and even thou she would not let me touch her she would fly to where ever i was and hang out with me. I swore off birds when i lost her so suddenly but 8 months later Remi came into my life and I just love him so much. He loves me right back giving me kisses and cuddles all the time. :swaying: :P

Funny you should ask about his flight feather's, just today while he was out on his perch hanging with me in the kitchen while i was doing some work he was surprised by my daughter coming into the room and took off for his cage. I think he was just as shocked as I was, he has never done more than kind of glide to the floor. So they must be grown back in I can still see where they where trimmed so thought he could not fly yet. Now to make sure the house is safe for flying..
