I just joined. I am in upstate NY and am presently birdless.... *sigh*
I owned a moluccan cockatoo about 8 years ago, but sadly rehomed her when I had a difficult pregnancy and was put on bedrest. I wouldn't be able to give her any attention for 5 months because I was constantly in the Dr's or the hospital or in bed .... so, I did what was necessary.
Now I'm looking to own another parrot. I'm wanting a macaw this time, probably a blue and gold, but I'm interested in the green wings too. I'm looking to chat with some of you. I'm already excited to get one, but talking with other parrot people really helps to get prepared in other ways too.
...pretty soon, I hope to be introducing my new "baby" to you all.
