Ozzie says Hewwoo!!

Postby OzzieGrey » Wed Mar 27, 2013 1:36 pm

Hi there parrot loving friends! :swaying:

Ozzie and I decided it is time to learn how to be better partners and make some friends. I can't say I'm the most experienced bird owner (yet), but I love my little guy. He's precious and amazing. How does the saying go, "you don't know what you don't know". Well- that's me. But I'm trying!!

Since this is my first post, I should probably ask something insightful, eh? If you could recommend three to five posts that you think are the most important (or even just 1!) for me to read to make life for me and Ozzie better, what would they be? I want to make sure I'm the best Mommy I can be

Thank you for setting up this great place to learn!

Hello and welcome! :-) It's great that you're eager to learn about how to be a better "parront." I have had birds for a long time and have done tons of reading and research over the years but even though I am very educated when it comes to bird behavior I am always learning something new all the time!

Welcome to you and Ozzie.

You will learn so much here, I learned alot through experience, experience is a slow way to learn compared with listening to other peoples experiences and reading everything I can. Just take the learning process slow and steady, you dont have to read and read and read and overwhelm yourself, its a bit like revision, trying to cram in information doesn't work.

"Parront"?! Oh my gosh I love it! I've never heard that before :hatched:

Thank you so much Andromeda for all the great links. I am very eager and those links are at the top of my reading list :D I love that there is so much information ready to make this easier on me. It's been a little rough early going, but I know we can be really happy together. I have faith!

And thank you janetafloat and marie83 for the welcomes as well!
