I just realized we never properly introduced ourselves!

Haha, this is a pretty late introduction! I first joined when I asked you guys for help with Daisy's biting problem and when that was over, I was so used to the forum I forgot all about introductions!

Well, as some of you already know, I have a lovebird named Daisy! I'm not sure what kind of mutation she is, but I think it's a type of peach faced. Definitely common though. Her forehead will be orange and the rest of her face will be white with her body being green. Her wings were clipped at the bird farm I got her from so she's currently not flighted for now. At first she was definitely a "no touching" type of bird but after working with her for a bit, she tolerates petting but still hates being flipped onto her back or being grabbed. Bird toys are absolutely of no use to her which may be why she hates being in her cage so much. She's an extremely stubborn fellow who loves to chew everything I hold dear to me. But 'tis the life of a bird owner I suppose! And now, for pictures! Unfortunately, when I post them here, they end up way too big and cutting out more than half the picture, so I'll have to link them. Get ready for a whole mess of pictures!

The first day we brought her home, she immediately climbed out and on top of her cage to bask in the newfound sunlight: http://i.imgur.com/T6vjwxjh.jpg

First time eating from her bowl! http: http://i.imgur.com/rSwb9HZh.jpg

These were before Daisy found out how fun it was to chew on my laptop, mouse, papers, and fingers. Oh, how I miss those days...: http://i.imgur.com/arverw2h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/es2xP9zh.jpg

First of many encounters with the camera(which is also one of her favorite chew toys!): http://i.imgur.com/ABQMwidh.jpg

This was a few seconds after she'd tried flying out the window :( : http://i.imgur.com/oAetlpYh.jpg

She started being okay with hands as long as they had food: http://i.imgur.com/fnd3fx6h.jpg

She slept a LOT the first few weeks she was with us: http://i.imgur.com/XztRoeeh.jpg

She discovered the wonders of tanktops: http://i.imgur.com/OJVh35sh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/EJm7ki8h.jpg She doesn't go in anymore but does sometimes perch on the opening.

Some of my favorite pictures are from when Daisy had a single eyebrow for a few days after her feathers dried like that. She looks so inquisitive: http://i.imgur.com/Rj4eEe0h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/AohhALfh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/JIy6HF3h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XIopZT4h.jpg http://i.imgur.com/8On2JoBh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vXsD3Hyh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/vM4t7tSh.jpg

And last but not least, Daisy's best picture of all...: http://i.imgur.com/OEiDN5Zh.jpg

Thanks for reading! And kudos to you if you got through all of those!

Your Daisy is such a cutie! I actually did go through all the pictures!

I especially love the first sun one! We had that same experience with our bird. It climbed up to the top of its cage and paused when it reached the sun. Beautiful moment!

And the eyebrow? Hahaha that's cute! But I agree. The last one where she smiles is the best one!

welcome to the forums. ;)
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.

Thanks! She really is a beauty :) It's never too late for introductions! Though I may just be saying that because I love looking at pictures of other people's birds ;)
