I own two birds currently, including my feisty rosella Tiko and my budgerigar Blugar.
Tiko is my first bird, and he's a handful! Rosellas aren't known for being very cuddly birds at all; in fact, here in Australia they are simply regarded as aviary birds who are aggressive and flighty. I acquired him when had just left the nest after being kept in an aviary and was parent raised. He had never had his wings clipped, thus I must say I'm quite proud of myself for being able to train him.
I think the thing about these birds is that they are macaws in much smaller packages, and nobody had ever taken enough time to see just how intelligent and gentle they can be when enough effort is put in.
I'm hoping to be able to help others in this forum as I was quite clueless and lost when I first acquired Tiko. There is no information on his species as a household pet as far as I have seen, so I hope to be able to share my experiences and learn new things!
