hello, I'm new here and I have 2 parakeets.one that I've had since he was 2 months old and he is very social and one that I've just adopted from a friend that didn't really take care of her. Shes around three years old and is scared of every thing, they never took her out of the cage before so I kind of expected that. I was wondering if anyone had advice on how to train an adopted budgie that doesn't bite but runs away. :budgie2:

Welcome to the forum! I have never had any budgies so I cannot give great advice, but I'm sure that others on the website can. My only advice is patience. You have to really give it time for them to slwoly warm up to you and it will take a lot of work, training, and patience.

Michael will give you pointers but, for now, Emsy is correct, just take your time getting her used to you, first.
